SigilForge ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. SigilForge is a tool for creating chaos magick sigils. The app stores your creations locally on your device and does not require an account.

1. Information We Collect

SigilForge is designed to work primarily offline. The core features of the app — creating sigils, saving them to your Grimoire, exporting, and sharing — do not collect or transmit any personal data.

1.1 Data You Provide

Intentions and Sigils: The text intentions you enter and the sigils you create are stored only on your device. They are never transmitted to us or to any server.
App Settings: Preferences such as language are stored locally on your device only.

1.2 Data Collected by Third-Party Services

SigilForge uses two Google services that may collect data, described in Section 4:

Google AdMob — shows advertising to users of the free version only.
Google Play Billing — processes the optional one-time purchase of SigilForge Pro.

2. Information We DO NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

❌ Personal information (name, email, phone number)
❌ Location data (GPS coordinates)
❌ Contacts or address book
❌ Photos, videos, or media files from your device
❌ Your intentions, sigils, or Grimoire content (these stay on your device)
❌ Any account or login information (the app has no accounts)

SigilForge has no server of its own. We do not operate any database that stores your information.

3. Advertising (Free Version Only)

The free version of SigilForge displays advertising provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, AdMob may collect and process certain data, including:

Your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
Device and usage information used to serve and measure ads
General (non-precise) location inferred from network information

Users who purchase SigilForge Pro do not see ads, and this advertising-related data collection does not apply to them.

You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, at any time through your Android device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).

4. Third-Party Services

SigilForge uses the following third-party services:

Google AdMob — for advertising in the free version. AdMob & Privacy
Google Play Billing — to process the optional one-time purchase of SigilForge Pro. Payments are handled entirely by Google. SigilForge never receives, sees, or stores your payment card details or financial information.

5. Permissions

SigilForge requests the following Android permissions:

Internet access: used only to load advertising in the free version. The core sigil-creation features work offline.
Storage / media access (where applicable): used only when you choose to export a sigil image to your device gallery.

6. Data Security

Your sigils, intentions, and settings are stored locally on your device.
We do not store personal data on any server, because we do not collect it.
Network communication used for advertising uses encrypted connections.

7. Data Retention

Local Data: Your sigils, Grimoire, and settings remain on your device until you delete them within the app or uninstall the app.
Advertising Data: Data collected by AdMob is retained according to Google's policies.

8. Children's Privacy

SigilForge is intended for adult users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Deletion: Delete your sigils within the app, or uninstall the app to remove all local data.
Opt-Out: Limit ad personalization through your device settings, or remove ads entirely by purchasing SigilForge Pro.

10. GDPR Compliance (EU Users)

If you are located in the European Union, you have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict the processing of your personal data. Because SigilForge itself collects no personal data and operates no server, most of these rights are satisfied by the nature of the app. For data processed by Google AdMob, please refer to Google's privacy policy.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and whether it is sold or disclosed. We do not sell personal information. Advertising data is processed by Google AdMob in accordance with their policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
